| Even though Yui is famous for her work as an actress and model, her face has been on everything from DVD covers to bus passes. No, seriously. If you're reading this and you don't even know her name, you most probably know her face. Heck, you probably won't be surprised she lent her voice to the PS4 "Yakuza " video game series sold in Japan and other parts of Asia. It doesn't end there. Just because it appears that this is a rite of passage for all Japanese actresses aspiring to fame, Yui has also briefly tried her hand at music... because why not. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she appears in a Marvel movie next (ok, probably not—over Disney's dead body). What is interesting is that she is particularly well known in Singapore and Taiwan - the latter of which she enjoys a particular degree of fame, owing in part to her work on television and allegedly having a doppelganger, in the form of Taiwanese actress and model Lin Chi-Ling. Yui Hatano is active on social media and is currently still working. So there's more to come. Yay. 😆 |
